Meditation is the tongue of the soul and language of our spirit

Why meditate? Well firstly it is very good for your health and well being, it can heal on several levels; emotional, mental and spiritual, which in turn can heal and help the physical -  although it is not a substitute for visiting your GP.

Secondly, I  believe,  it opens the door to psychic/mediumistic unfoldment. Allowing our minds to quieten and attune to Spirit. It helps with our visualisations. Raises our conciousness. I would have to add  'Sitting in the Power' is fantastic for your unfoldment.

 

It does not have to be complicated, you need no special equipment, just a willingness to give it a go and practice, 5-10 minutes a day can be a benefit.



If you are new to meditating just try these simple exercises.

 

Sit comfortably place your hands on your thighs, take a really deep breath in, counting slowly 1....2....3....4....5....hold that breath, think of nothing else and then slowly release 1....2....3....4....5....just keep doing that for 5 minutes, each time your mind wanders bring it back to your breathing.  Or you could try sitting in front of a candle, just light the candle, sit quietly and breath deeply and slowly, each time your eyes or mind wanders, bring it back to the flame and think of your breathing. Simple!!

These are very basic, but they are a good way to practice to start with, before you move onto longer and more complicated meditations. 



Anyone can meditate, however if you suffer from a psychotic illness or severe depression, very high or very low blood pressure, I would just check with your GP before you start, I cannot see there would be a problem but better safe than sorry!!
